Saturday from 9 to 3 the public is invited to the Higgins Fire Department’s Open House in the South County on HWY 49 and Combie Road, near Lake of the Pines. There will be lots of equipment on display, demonstrations,  fun for kids and information for everyone. Dads will like the helicopter and jaws of life demo, moms will like the fact that the Lake of the Pines Fire Wise council is making a Bar-be-Que lunch, ( did I mention fire fighters and Law Enforcement will be there, enough said!) and of course the kids will have fun in the Fire education trailer, the bounce house and Smoky Bear will be there too. I hope to post pictures on my face book page. You can find it through mary@kncooldsite.com/facebook.
