With the sun shining and temperatures in the 80’s it was a beautiful day for a parade as crowds lined the shady side of Broad Street in Nevada City in anticipation of the 46th Annual Constitution Day Parade. City Mayor Duane Strawser read a proclamation, the Nevada Union High School Choir sang the National Anthem. There was a perfectly timed three-plane flyover, and the antics of the Ophir Prison Marching Band launched the parade as Head Judge George Harper is excited to be part of the festivities.

All-in-all, seventy-four entries strutted their stuff, blew their horns, and danced their dances for the judges of the Constitution Day Parade. Mr. Harper and his crew had their work cut out for them.
