The state Wildlife Conservation Board has approved 19 projects to help restore and protect fish and wildlife habitat in California, and two of those projects are in Nevada County. A 1.4-million dollar grant has been awarded to the Bear Yuba Land Trust to acquire 652 acres along the Bear River, just east of Auburn.
