Americans for Safe Access- Nevada County will be taking the next step towards  a new county initiative for the cultivation of medicinal marijuana in Nevada County. ASA-NC Chair, Patricia Smith, says the Ballot Title & Summary of the initiative submitted last month is ready to go.

After picking up the Ballot and Summary from the clerks office, the next step is publication.

Smith stated she is both excited and nervous as ASA moves forward with the process and hopes that the community understands the reason for the initiative.

Once the initiate is certified ASA will begin the process of collecting the required 9000 signatures to put the initiative into an election.
