The Tahoe National Forest has announced several closures as a result of the lapse in government spending. All offices are closed until further notice. Also any campgrounds managed by the Tahoe National Forest are closed. Locally this means the campground at Bullards Bar is closed until further notice.
Fee-based campgrounds that are concessionaire-managed and maintained will remain open. Contact a campground directly to confirm its status if you have plans over the next couple of weekends.
