Workers arrived at the County Probation Department in Shingle Springs early this morning (Monday), and found what looked to be a pipe bomb on the ground in front of the main entrance. El Dorado County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Tim Becker says the building was evacuated, authorities were called, and the bomb squad was sent out…
For some reason, the device malfunctioned and was able to be dismantled safely. Becker says they have no leads on who may have placed the device there. An investigation is underway.
