Nevada County Deputy Coroner Rich Fevinger says the sister didn’t see Andrew Debord go in the water near the Old Bridge on Highway 49 Friday afternoon, so they still don’t know how he ended up in the river…
Debord was airlifted out, but rescuers were unable to revive him. Water flows were increased on Friday with Lake Spaulding full, and spilling into the South Yuba. Fevinger says there’s still investigating, but that’s likely a factor…
River levels are supposed to be back down to normal within the next couple of days.
