A completion ceremony for the new $31 million Highway 99 Riego Road Interchange in Sutter County today will also include a special dedication for a fallen CalTrans worker from Nevada County, according to Cal Trans Public Information Officer Steve Nelson.

Patton family members wil be participating in the unveiling of the roadside “Dean Patton Memorial Interchange” sign on Highway 99 this morning. Nelson says Caltrans had to get special permission for the sign.

With the completion of the Riego Road Interchange commuters will no longer have to stop at signal lights traveling highway 99 between Yuba City and Sacramento.
