A man arrested following reports of domestic violence or threats taking place over a several week period. Nevada County Sheriff Captain, Jeff Pettitt, says that the reports involving the same suspect were both filed on December 13th. However, the incident actually occurred the last week of November.*

The suspect in question is Thomas Buchter 32 of Cedar Ridge.
The shot was not aimed at any individual but did have the intent to threaten. The second incident occurred last Friday.

Both incidents were reported to the sheriff’s office on Saturday which then led to interviews and the subsequent arrest of Thomas Buchter. Captain Pettitt says a number of weapons were in Buchter’s residence.

Buchter was booked into the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility for terrorizing or making threats and domestic violence.
