The Grand Jury has the authority to issue criminal indictments in coordination with the Nevada County District Attorneys office, although most of it’s activities result in an annual report that outlines findings for public agencies that typically get little oversight. The application to service can be found on the Nevada County courts website and should be mailed or submitted on line by April first. To serve candidates must be a us citizen, a resident of Nevada County for one year and be at least 18 years of age.
